Responsible Travel Policy
Environmental responsibility - the environment in the areas our divers will visit is often very sensitive. We are extremely concerned to ensure that our impact is always positive and never damaging. We aim to help sustain a healthy environment where both people and nature can thrive.

One of the main negative impacts of our divers travelling, is the carbon dioxide created from flights. We work with a 'carbon neutral' charity to help ensure that an amount of carbon is sequestered through tree planting or the promotion of low energy technologies.

While our divers are overseas, we encourage simple steps to minimise the impact on the local environment and in particular the marine environment.

And at the PoD office in the UK:
  • Active recycling - we recycle as much of our office waste as possible
  • Use of recycled products - where possible we use paper, envelopes and other supplies that are made from a recycled or sustainable source
  • Printing - our brochures are printed using an environmentally friendly wax printer
  • Careful energy usage.

Economic responsibility – the majority of the money that divers pay is spent in the country that they will be visiting. The dive schools we work with provide employment for many local staff.
